MAD is…Your Arts District.

Did you know an arts district is what you make it?

As many of you may know, I’ve been working for the Kingston Midtown Arts District since 2019 and in July accepted the position to serve as MAD’s first Executive Director. We’ve been hitting the ground running ever since! I am happy to write to you today to share the great news!

The Midtown Arts District is YOUR arts district and our goal is to support Creativity in ALL its forms in our community with our Community!

We are participating in the worldwide campaign: Giving Tuesday and would love your support.

2021 has been quite a year of thoughtful planning and discussion with our Board of Directors. In conjunction with our D.R.A.W. Education Director Lara Giordano, we’ve been hiring staff and setting up new systems as MAD continues to grow and expand. Despite the restrictions and challenges of the last two years, MAD’s programming has made a difference for hundreds of students and artists by providing arts education, exhibition opportunities, and jobs. MAD is making waves in 2021 and we’d love for YOU to join us in 2022!

Art is essential to life. For many of us, art is our life and our livelihood. In a city with less than 25,000 people, the city has identified over 300 arts and cultural assets…we believe there’s a lot more than that! For these reasons, art should be accessible to every member of the community and is integral to the necessities of life.

The Midtown Arts District is a place where the creativity of expression can thrive and be celebrated. A place for businesses to innovate and succeed. A place where iron sharpens iron, artists of all ages can learn and be supportive to one another. A place where all cultures add value and beauty to the community. For all these reasons we seek your support.

Your donation will help us keep the arts and arts education thriving in Kingston.

Ways to Give:

  • Support MAD’s General Operations
  • Build The D.R.A.W.’s Scholarship Fund – The D.R.A.W. offers rolling student scholarships each year in order to make art education accessible to every child in our community.
