It Was A MAD Celebration!
On Saturday, April 13, the Kingston Midtown Arts District hosted “A MAD Celebration” at Aaron Rezny’s spacious photography studio to showcase accomplishments and ongoing plans to revitalize the district. And there was much to celebrate!
Dozens of buildings have been reclaimed, property values have increased, and 400+ jobs and arts livelihoods have been generated. The MAD Board of Directors, Advisory Committee members, and all the other volunteer movers and shakers who keep MAD thrumming were recognized. Chair of the Communications Committee, Rick Whelan, gave a presentation to highlight all that’s been accomplished in one short year.
Fun, festivities, delicious canapés, sparkling beverages (and conversations), and MAD raised more than $4,000 to support its ongoing programming and initiatives in Midtown.
Photographs by Kristopher Johnson capture many of the occasion’s attendees and the happy energy that permeated our MAD artistic welcome to spring!
Thank you to all who came out to “A MAD Celebration!”
