The Department of Regional Art Workers
The Arts Education Program of the Midtown Kingston Arts District
We provide arts education programs for people of all ages, professional and creative development for local artists and a well-established youth workforce-development program based on the arts.
Our Philosophy
We believe that art is a training ground for life, helping us to solve problems independently as well as collectively, build relationships across perceived or constructed barriers and cultivate community through shared practice, artistic expression, communication and appreciation.
Our Mission
The DRAW is an expansive community of artists, educators, entrepreneurs, and students that believes access to quality arts education for all galvanizes the cultural, social and financial dynamics of our society. Our programming is built around a spiraling intersectional and intergenerational framework within which the exchange of creativity, skills and support generate ongoing community learning.
