CALL FOR ART WORKSHOP PROPOSALS

FOR 9TH ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS — DEADLINE JUNE 2nd

The Kingston Midtown Arts District (MAD) seeks workshop proposals for
The 9th Annual Celebration of the Arts EXPO
On Saturday, July 8, 2023    10am – 4pm
Located at the Kingston Center of SUNY Ulster, 94 Mary’s Avenue, Kingston

The Expo is a free event offering an opportunity for people to discover and explore a variety of art forms they may never have seen or engaged in before. Your workshop is an introduction to your art form with a component that encourages people to engage with you and your art form. Our goal is to provide an accessible and safe experience for children and adults of all ages while providing paid opportunities for experienced teaching artists.

The 9th annual EXPO will take place at the State University of New York (SUNY) Ulster Kingston Campus and will feature a full day of workshops in a variety of arts genres— examples include wheel throwing, clay hand building, figure drawing, instrument making, virtual Reality, photography, painting, comics and more. Professional working artists from Kingston will lead all of the workshops with assistance from PUGG our teen workforce interns. MAD expects to serve approximately 500 community members of all ages, incomes, and backgrounds to enjoy the free workshops.
