Your sponsorship would support this FREE event at SUNY Ulster’s Kingston Center in Midtown. On Saturday, July 23 from 10am to 3pm, the Expo will offer to the residents of Kingston and surrounding communities a hands-on opportunity to explore a variety of art forms in interactive workshops and demos presented by local teaching artists and arts organizations. This lively, fun day celebrates the arts, creativity and community.

There are workshops for everyone in the community! MAD expects to serve approximately 500+ community members of all ages, incomes, and backgrounds.

In addition to a full day of workshops in a variety of arts genres, there will be community art projects including a mini Draw-a-thon, a Community Coil Pot and a Time Capsule Project.  Workshops throughout the event may include figure drawing, instrument making, virtual reality, photography, painting, comics and more. There will be pottery wheel throwing and hand building in the clay room. Professional working artists will lead all of the workshops with assistance from PUGG our teen workforce interns.
